I have been very fortunate to have my photographs of the Royal Family published twice.

In 1993 by Robert Hale Ltd, and in 2011 by Amberley Books. Both titles were called 'Royal Encounters'

From a young age I have been fascinated by the Pomp and Pageantry associated with the Monarchy.

In March 1987 I traveled to my first Royal Visit to see Princess Diana arrive at Saltaire Railway Station in West Yorkshire (England.)

My hands shook with the cold of a Spring morning, and the excitement of seeing a real life Princess walk towards me. This is the first image I took that day.

Now 29 years later I am still photographing the royals, and the enthusiasm for photography I felt as a 15 year old is still there.....!

Over the years I have had the honour of meeting many members of the Royal Family. Amassing some lovely memories on the way. Also presenting copies of my photographs to them on their engagements. Rather poignantly now Princess Diana once told me she always gave my photos to her sons, and they put them up at their bedsides, so they could remember who their mother is......

I have been fortunate to have my work published twice, both titled. 'Royal Encounters', and seen my work published on Postcards and commemorative memorabilia.

It would be lovely to once again see my work published......
