2017 will see the 20th Anniversary of the death of
Diana, Princess of Wales.
At her former home at Kensington Palace there is currently an exhibition of her clothes, dating from before her marriage, and some instantly recognisable key outfits from her life.
The Blouse she wore for the Vogue cover-shoot before her wedding. The tweed suit worn after her Honeymoon on 1981, when she had a photo-call in Scotland. Also there are iconic Evening gowns from the 1980's Saudi Arabia tours and also iconic dresses like the 'Elvis' Dress. Also the Green Sequin gown, nicknamed by Dana, her 'Mermaid' Dress. One dress, the flamenco inspired one, is actually a copy.
Diana, Her fashion Story brings together all these clothes, and the detail on them is breathtaking. Alongside them are some designer sketches, including one of the dress worn at Prince William's Christening in August 1982, with a swatch of fabric.
Outside the Palace, this year the Palace's Sunken Garden has been renamed the White Garden. With plants the Princess herself loved. The scents are amazing as you walk round.
