Order of the Garter WINDSOR CASTLE June 13th 2016

The Order of the Garter is an event known for its Pomp and Pageantry. Sadly this year the weather put hold to that!!

The decision was taken early on that morning to cancel the procession, despite the showers fading and bright sunshine, so all the guests, Knights and Queen and Royal Family drove to St George's Chapel and back to Windsor Castle.

The Duchess of Cambridge was vivid in Red. As was
Zenouska Mowatt, Grandaughter to Princess Alexandra who walked back.

Sir John and Dame Norma Major also delighted the crowds by walking as did the two newest Knights, Sir David Brewer and Lord Shuttleworth.

The Heralds brightened up the day too, you may spot Alastair Bruce, a Commentator on UK Sky News and also consultant on Downton Abbey.
